How to submit an application

Research and pilot projects:

• 1 June 2026 (23:59).
• 1 October 2026 (23:59).

Research programs:

• Preapplication: 1 April 2026 (23:59).
• Full application: 1 October 2026 (23:59).

Research and pilot projects:
Send the correct application form, the latest version of the budget tool, and all other attachments by email to research@kika.nl.

KiKa aims to complete a thorough and efficient review process within five months. 

There are three review rounds each year. If a project is submitted by the deadline (at 23:59 the latest), it will be discussed at the next Scientific Board meeting. 

Research programs:
A (pre)application can be sent by email to research@kika.nl. Researchers will be notified in early July whether they are invited to submit a full application. 

Research program applications are reviewed once a year. Applicants must submit a preapplication and will be invited for a live Q&A session in June.

In case of a resubmission or adapted form of a previously submitted application, please make clear in which way the application is adapted. This can be done via an accompanying letter and, if applicable, by visually highlighting the parts of the text that have been adapted.
