For research into childhood cancer
Researchers affiliated with any scientific institute in the Netherlands can apply for financial support for research projects that clearly focus on childhood cancer. Please note
Compensation for open access publication costs is available as of 1 March 2026. Researchers can apply for compensation to cover open access publication costs for work resulting from a KiKa grant. Read all the terms and conditions here.

- Preapplication: 1 April 2026 (23:59).

Submissions
Research and pilot projects:
Send the correct application form, the latest version of the budget tool, and all other attachments by email to research@kika.nl.
KiKa aims to complete a thorough and efficient review process within five months.
There are three review rounds each year. If a project is submitted by the deadline (at 23:59 the latest), it will be discussed at the next Scientific Board meeting.
Research programs:
A (pre)application can be sent by email to research@kika.nl. Researchers will be notified in early July whether they are invited to submit a full application.
Research program applications are reviewed once a year. Applicants must submit a preapplication and will be invited for a live Q&A session in June.
